TreeTini

TreeTini at The Whiskey Bars in Chicago

March 31st, 2008

Live It Green has teamed up with the Chicago W Hotels and Gerber Group to offer a signature Treetini cocktail at the Whiskey lounges in the Windy City.

During the month of April, patrons of Whiskey Blue, Whiskey Sky and MEXX Kitchen at The Whiskey can order the Treetini specialty cocktail, and Live It Green will plant a tree in an area in dire need of reforestation. Trees are planted on a quarterly basis and monitored using GPS locators. The cocktail is made from vodka, Cointreau, fresh basil leaves, fresh lemon and sugar.

“We are proud to be involved with an organization like Live It Green, who is making great contributions to the environmental issues all over the world,” says Rande Gerber of Gerber Group.

“April is the month of both Arbor Day and Earth Day, so we’re pleased that W and the Gerber Group has signed on to offer the only cocktail that allows patrons to do good by the environment while they’re enjoying the Whiskey’s own great environment,” says Hans Fedderke, co -founder of Live It Green.

To date, Live It Green and partners have planted more than 5000 trees in Tamil Nadu, India. Live It Green, an Illinois-based sustainability company, creates turnkey opportunities that allow consumers and companies to be greener, faster.
